Their place of gathering was the Cool Grove Cremation Ground, Sitavana, near Bodhgaya, in which stood the Blissful Tower Stupa, Deje Tsekpa. The tradition of hidden treasures asserts that the Dakini Lekyi Wangmo guarded this Stupa and at propitiation by the Eight Vidyadaras she took eight caskets from the Stupa each containing one of the principal sadhanas and dispensed them to the eight great masters: Manjushrimitra, 'Jam dpal bshes gnyen, Vidyadhara of Body Transmitted Manjushri Kumarabhuta, Yamantaka rDo rje gzhon nu, gShin rje shed, Destroyer of Yama, Nubchen Sangye Yeshe received the transmission through Shantigarbha.
